verbals

Did you know that some verbs do not function as verb at all
They are called verbal, please listen so you can recall
A verbal is a word formed from a verb but function as different part of a speech
Participles, gerunds, and infinitives are examples of it.

Verbs that functions as adjectives
Are called participles; indeed
In the sentence, "The injured dog was taken to the doctor."
Injured is the participle we’re looking for

The next verbal is called gerund
It functions as a noun
"Laughing is good for your health."
The word laughing is a gerund, itself


is formed by adding to before the verb
It functions as a noun, adjective or adverb
"Lisa loves to draw a crow"
The infinitive in the sentence is to draw
